Carbon Instead

We are Carbon Instead, an impact-oriented Startup. Our vision is to reduce the resource footprint of industrial materials using bioeconomy principles. We select different qualities of pyrochar and research their end-use applications, pyrochar being the result of a negative emission technology. Therefore, we take out more carbon from the carbon cycle than we put in. In doing this, our mission is to turn biogenic waste streams into valuable raw material that can be used as an additive or replacement to conventional industrial material. Our international team brings a diverse range of expertise and fresh perspectives to the table. Every day brings with it a new challenge but we enjoy taking it head-on!
