CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. We fight poverty by fighting inequality. We do this by providing emergency relief, empowering women and enabling communities to sustainably earn their livelihoods, with a focus on climate change adaptation. CARE's approach is characterized by achieving equal rights and opportunities. In doing so, we create structural change, in close collaboration with partners, governments and communities on the ground. As an international development organization, CARE is active in more than 100 countries worldwide.
