Caring House - California

Everyone deserves to experience peace at the end of life. Caring House was established to help ease the burden associated with caring for a loved one at the end of life and/or spending it in a facility. As the first and only non-profit, home-based setting in Los Angeles County completely focused on helping residents and families through the end-of-life journey, we have transformed that often stressful and traumatic experience into a peaceful and dignified one. Now, instead of worrying about their loved one’s day-to-day needs, family and friends spend their time supporting and connecting with each other in our calm, tranquil home, which is nestled in a tree-shaded residential neighborhood with idyllic gardens and the inviting scent of fresh-baked cookies. This allows everyone to focus on what’s important – being together, processing their emotions, and experiencing a peaceful resolution – which has a profoundly positive effect on their mental wellness from that point forward.
