Caring With Carers

Caring with Carers is an out-of-home care training and assessment agency based in Sydney NSW. Founder and CEO Shannon Kendrick combined her extensive experience in not-for-profit organisation management, with her drive to create change in the lives of vulnerable children, and built the thriving social impact organisation from the ground up. Celebrating 4 years of operation, Caring with Carers is leading the way in child welfare, community development, training, assessment, recruitment and retention. With a focus on developing a cultural change in the way out-of-home care children and young people, particularly from trauma backgrounds, are seen and engaged, Caring with Carers is championing their rights, actioning change, and developing enhanced training and assessment processes. Caring with Carers are advocates for Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) and have been integral in its development in Australia, having successfully rolled out TLSW services in 2020 across New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and South Australia. Shannon is lobbying for its inclusion and funding on a national level.
