Carli Bates Cello Studio

Teaching Philosophy: I feel strongly that every child can learn to play an instrument. By building a positive environment and tailoring lessons based on each individual’s learning style, children can create their own character and personality through the cello. I have 15 years teaching experience, both as a private music instructor and a public school teacher. Lessons: Lessons are constructed on an integrated Suzuki approach, using the Suzuki repertoire along with ear-training exercises, additional repertoire pieces, etudes, music theory and note-reading activities, as appropriate. I accept beginning and intermediate cello students, ages 4 and up. To be effective the student must be dedicated to the learning process and daily practice.
