Carmen Woods

Carmen Woods’ is a luxury leather handbag label. We create designs that are beautiful, interesting and wearable, with a true artisan identity. Our label reflects on the time Carmen spent in Ravenna, Italy, working as a fashion designer. She drew inspiration from the intricate Byzantine mosaics, which covered the city’s buildings and walkways, eventually using patch work and pleating techniques to express this through her designs. In addition to our core collection, we offer a bespoke service to all clients who wish to adapt existing styles to specifically suit their needs. Our beautiful boutique is based in an original Art Deco building, situated amongst the quirky and charming shops on the Essex coastline of Leigh-on-Sea.
