Carrick Communications is an Australian company which operates internationally providing satellite communications consultancy and projects to Telcos, Government Agencies, Defence and Industry. The company was originally founded in the UK in 1990 by Dr Bob Gough and early in 2023 the Australian parent company was established. With over 40 years’ experience in professional satcoms the company has an in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of the industry, both technically and commercially. Projects have been carried out for the European Space Agency developing next-generation satellite communications systems, followed by very many projects for customers all over the world. The company has acted as technical authority for the design, implementation and commissioning of ground stations ranging from spread spectrum VSAT terminals to multi-band 18 metre ground stations; and at frequencies from L-band to Ka-band. Recent work has included work on free-space optical satcoms as well as state-of-the-art IoT systems integrating LEO Constellations, MEO, GEO and terrestrial communications. Vast experience with multiple technologies as well as a mix of technical, commercial and business development experience.
