CarriganGeo fuses Geographic Information Systems and web technologies to help local government and cities achieve effectiveness and efficiency. CarriganGeo has been providing GIS and CAD mapping, GPS data collection, and database systems design work to municipal clients for over 20 years. CarriganGeo has worked closely with all departments of many municipalities, giving us an in-depth understanding of the requirements of a municipal management system. Our experience creating parcel maps, scanning and digitizing land development plans, and providing other mapping services gives us unmatched insight into the process of moving to ‘paperless’ operations. The Carrigan Municipal Information System (CMIS) was developed out of the need to make mapping and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) easier for the municipal employee to use. While mapping is a fully integrated component, CMIS provides functionality far beyond, marking a departure from the way GIS was classically used. The CMIS system is tailored to the ways municipalities function and flattens the learning curve, making its integration into everyday operations logical and straight-forward.
