Originally founded as Cava Stone and Marble in 1971, the reputation of Cava Building Supply was literally established brick by brick. When the business first opened its doors in South Philadelphia, contractors were busy restoring the brick facades of local homes in need of facelifts. Homeowners were requesting marble and limestone accents to enhance the appearance of their homes, and contractors turned to Cava Stone and Marble to fulfill their custom needs. As the years passed, Cava grew and so did the needs of their customers. Cava focused on expanding its product line to become a comprehensive masonry supply yard. In 1996 a new showroom was built to better serve customers and Cava Stone and Marble officially became Cava Building Supply Co. While many things have changed over the years, Cava’s philosophy remains the same – Every customer is important, and no job is too small.
