Cavern Energy Storage
Focused on developing the long duration grid energy storage needed for the Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi region. Underground Pumped Storage Hydroelectric uses the reliable pumped storage hydroelectric technology and combines that with proven salt dome caverns to create an 80% efficient energy storage for the region. Salt domes are found throughout eastern Texas, Louisiana, and southern Mississippi and provide an opportunity of energy storage. Department of Energy estimates that the region needs MW capacity of energy storage to support increased renewables and to help the electrical grid operate more efficiently. Commercial units will store up to 3,750 megawatt-hours on a 90 acre underground salt dome location with most of the surface land available for farming, grazing, solar farms or wind turbines. We are presently looking for investors to support the building of demonstration units.
