A first generation 'Social Finance' institution, CCEC was created by community groups to serve community groups. CCEC is a full service credit union with a membership including non-profits, co-ops, social enterprises, small business, unincorporated associations, and their members. CCEC provides banking services and loans to groups, and also personal deposit accounts, debit cards, RRSPs, loans and mortgages. Services are available online. CCEC is an agent of change in pursuit of economic democracy/literacy, social justice, and environmental responsibility. Working in partnership with member groups, CCEC seeks to be an innovative financing resource and a catalyst to community economic development.
