The mission of CDDS, Inc. is to respond to and facilitate recovery from disaster & displacement; provide humanitarian aid to address disintegration, disease and degradation of life associated with such a crisis; restore and preserve health and human rights. Organizational Focus To minimize displacement by providing additional responses to natural and technological disasters; expedite recovery by strategically providing humanitarian aid (food, water, shelter, clothing, first aid supplies and security for women and children vulnerable to rape and trafficking) as needed or requested in the disaster zone. Implement a strategic approach to the displacement matrix, i.e,(disintegration, disease, homelessness, hunger, economic collapse). Reduce levels of anxiety, trauma and suffering among refugees by providing adequate supplemental services and advocacy where necessary. Assist in the prevention of human-trafficking by identifying vulnerable individuals and groups; prevent susceptibility by addressing precipitating conditions; educate communities about the issue of human-trafficking. Promote good health among displaced populations by providing basic health screenings and education; address emotional disequilibrium, incapacitating conflicts generated by torture and the trauma of displacement through allied mental health. Promote and facilitate self-sufficiency among displaced populations through community and economic development. Promote and facilitate opportunities for higher education for refugees and other displaced populations. Collaborate with governments and NGOs preserving life and wellness during periods of crisis or disaster. Identify and promote constituent or donor values; establish value-alignment and provide venues for open communication and participation.
