Nalchem Fire is a specialised fire protection service provider. We focus on high-quality servicing, maintenance, and installations of critical fire equipment Nalchem Fire was founded in 1990 by Allan under the original name Alchem Fire. Like many small businesses, it began as a one-man operation — “stok siel alleen” — with a workshop in the garage and an office in the house, long before computers or internet were part of the picture. In 2006 the company became Nalchem Fire, continuing to grow steadily through dedication, personal service, and a commitment to quality. With only one technician and one admin assistant in the early years, Allan handled everything from sourcing parts and powder to securing signage and equipment to keep clients satisfied. A major turning point came when Nalchem Fire joined the CENTA Group, thanks to an introduction by the late Mr. Henning Mugge from East Rand Fire. After meeting Mr. Duncan and sharing in his vision, Allan joined a small group of members — a decision that marked the start of long-term growth, national opportunities, and professional support across the industry. 1996: Allan’s wife, Hetta, joined the business, taking over financials and bookkeeping. 2005: Allan’s son, Neville, joined & completed his training through CENTA Gauteng in Alberton. 2006: Neville completed the SAQCC1475 training & began servicing the Mpumalanga region as a Fire Equipment Technician. 2009: After leaving CENTA Gauteng at the end of 2008, he joined Nalchem Fire permanently & has been managing the company since 2009. 2015: Neville’s wife, Suné, joined the company to assist with administrative operations. 2018: Allan’s youngest son, Brian, joined the business. 2019: Brian completed his SAQCC1475 training & is currently working toward becoming a qualified fire detection systems technician. Today, Nalchem Fire services 650 clients & 18 National contract clients, covering approximately 495 shops and businesses throughout Gauteng & Mpumalanga
