Center For Accessible Art

Imagine a world without art. This is hard to do yet there are segments which do not have access to that which we sometimes take for granted. Take for instance the visually impaired, elderly, poor and handicapped who may not have access to art programs such as workshops and classes or may not be able to visit art venues because of physical or economic limitations. The Center For Accessible Art Inc. is a registered 501c3 Non-Profit entity. Our mission is to make art accessable to segments which would not otherwise have access to it through the following programs. • Our Non-Visual Art for the visually impaired translates paintings in sculptural relief using heating and cooling elements to indicate where the warm and cool tones occur in the art enabling the person experiencing it to process an image in their mind without seeing it. • Artist workshops/retreats for the handicapped, elderly and underprivileged are customized to suit each individual segments needs and are designed to be therapeutic educational and fun. • Art Exhibitions offer art for public spaces at no cost to institutions which do not have a budget for it.
