Central Coal Fields Limited was established on 01/11/1975. It is a Miniratna company and is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. CCL is headquartered at Darbhanga House, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It has Sixty-Five operative mines and Six washeries encompassing six districts of Jharkhand state. Central Coal fields Limited produced a massive 68.7 MT coal in the previous year which was 9.4% of the total coal production of the country. Central Coal fields Limited is a significant contributor to the state exchequer and has been one of the highest taxpayer in the state of Jharkhand over the years.
