A co-operative with over 1300 drivers from the local community, Central Taxis is proud to operate Edinburgh's biggest fleet with over 460 black cabs serving you 24/7. Market leader in the city, we are experts in delivering a superior service to our customers through innovation and are proud to be Scotland's first Carbon Neutral taxi company. As a co-operative company, Central Taxis is owned and operated by over 400 members of the local community and responsible for the employment of over 1300 local people - a responsibility that is always at the forefront of our business practice and a statistic that sees us ranking alongside the top 20 employers in the city. We are proud to be locally owned and servicing our local community. We also operate a bus company providing inter-office shuttle services for multi-branch customers and a motor insurance business. We serve the general public and visitors to the city as well as most public and private sector organisations and prestige hotels. We also take an active role in co-operating with the City Council and other transport providers to develop integrated public transport solutions across Edinburgh.
