Patients work with our pelvic health experts who are doctors of physical therapy with specialized training in pelvic health conditions. Pelvic Health PT focuses on the rehabilitation of the pelvis / pelvic floor and the functions that this area of the body is responsible for: bladder health, bowel health, sexual health & function, pregnancy & postpartum healing, and even pelvic dysfunction as noted by pain. Pelvic health physical therapy is perfect for the individual who is experiencing any of the following- Urinary Incontinence (leakage)- The pregnant individual who is wanting to prepare their body for birth - Pain in pregnancy: symphysis pubis dysfunction, SIJ or low back pain - Pain with intercourse, inserting a tampon, and/or a medically necessary GYN examination- Postpartum rehab & healing after vaginal and c-section birth - Diastasis Recti Abdominus - Stool consistency issues: constipation or diarrhea - Pelvic organ prolapse - Pelvic Pain: pain with orgasm, arousal, difficulty achieving orgasm, pain with sitting (pelvic floor, tailbone, etc); this includes MALE pelvic pain too.
