As a rich interdisciplinary network of academics from humanities and social sciences, brain science, machine studies, industry experts, and artists, Memory Studies as a research cluster inhabits the interfaces of technology, medical science, and literary and cultural studies. In the process, it promotes and facilitates active academia-industry dialogues and collaborations through events, knowledge sharing, research supervisions, and peer-reviewed publications. Examining the entangled processes and politics of re-membering and forgetting in the neural-machinic as well as in the extended-cultural levels, Memory Studies aims to offer a more complex engagement with the embedded, extended, and enactive acts of re-construction through material markers, textual traces, and experiential events.
