Vision: To position Centre for VUCA Studies (CVS) as a unique leading global institution for dissemination of knowledge and to undertake pioneering multi-disciplinary research in VUCA studies, which has a wide bearing on global business & management and to provide practical foresight for a world undergoing rapid change. Objectives:Is to discover, create, enable, integrate and implement theories and practices of VUCA learning for the interdependent development of people and their institutions. This unique centre will also differentiate itself from many offshoots amongst leading Management Institutes primarily through focusing on undertaking strategic studies to enhance agility and adaptability of Companies in a global scenario as they spread their wings in new markets. CVS would additionally focus on multidiscipline such as Technology and Applied behavioural science, behavioural finance and behavioural economics, which so far have been neglected. As THINK TANK group we study UNEXPECTED & UNKNOWNS. Some contemporary topics are: • Application of Behavioural science to understand and manage in a VUCA world. insights into leadership to be agile under black swan events. • VUCA and organisation of family business. It may be transition in business and family, succession planning, conflict management and mitigation, threats to existence etc. • Future of Learning-New technologies, work patterns, and practices are disrupting how we learn, where we learn, and what we need to learn. • Foresight tools & processes- For example, Scenario planning. • How will Technology emerge as drivers to future economy? • Future Corporations (Organisations). Beyond visual, how do enterprises prepare for the future? • Global economics and what lies ahead for India and emerging economies • Strategy to combat VUCA etc Our primary research would focus on what companies should do to become agile and adaptable. At the same time expand its horizon in multidiscipline engaged in embracing VUCA.
