CENTRO STUDI TPF THIRD PARTY FUNDING The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Italy in cooperation with Abbatescianni Studio Legale e Tributario, promoted the creation of Centro Studi TPF dedicated to the phenomenon of the TPF for national and international litigation. The aim of Centro Studi TPF, an independent body seated by Swiss Chamber, is to contribute to the reflection on the phenomenon of the TPF, in order to enhance its growth and the awareness in Italy. To bridge the gap of knowledge some pivotal issues: the independence of the referees from the Funder, the obligation to reveal the presence of the Fund, the management of litigation, the issues related to the settlement of the dispute, the various methods of funding. Moreover, the Centro Studi TPF is implementing a library, also available on line, on the doctrine and jurisprudence concerning TPF, with the aim to promote it through conferences and publications as well as to create a dedicated blog. The Centro Studi TPF will as well as proceed with the development of codes of conduct to regulate the conflicting interests of the TPF. NEW SERVICE TO PROMOTE THE ACCESS TO THE FINANCING OF DISPUTES Swiss Chamber has set up a new service to help business access the financing of legal proceedings. Swiss Chamber - Camera di Commercio Svizzera in Italia, evaluates the possibility of involving the funding subjects in any disputes by preparing a fact sheet and, in the case of a positive assessment, presenting the case to the most suitable subjects. The instrument is more suitable for significant amounts.
