Ceramet Solar is a subsidiary of Ceramet Pty Ltd which is privately owned. Ceramet Solar was established to provide a business that would support the transition of Ceramet Pty Ltd from being strictly an automotive manufacturer to being a diverse manufacturing centre for both automotive and the emerging renewable energy industry. Ceramet Solar is continuing with the development of innovative Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) technologies working closely with universities such as RMIT as well as the local and state government authorities.
