Cereal Millers Association
The Cereal Millers Association (CMA) is the umbrella body representing Kenya’s grain milling industry, bringing together maize, wheat, rice, pulses, and other cereal millers, traders, and importers. Established in and officially registered in 2007, CMA champions policies that secure food supply, promote fair trade, and ensure access to safe, nutritious, and affordable food. Today, CMA’s 50+ members operate mills across the country, representing over 40% of Kenya’s maize milling capacity and 85% of wheat milling capacity, serving more than 45 million consumers. CMA is also the first industry association in East & Central Africa to self-regulate on food safety, fortification, and aflatoxin management. With a vision to redefine and lead the grain sector across Eastern Africa, CMA advocates for its members, safeguards consumer interests, and drives innovation toward a sustainable, efficient, and transparent milling industry.
