Certema is the Multidisciplinary Technological Laboratory of the province of Grosseto and began its activities in February 2016 with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of the culture of innovation in the local production system to promote the competitiveness of the emerging sectors of the manufacturing market granting a facilitate access to R&D activities. To this end, the Laboratory works to systematize the technological and production skills present in the area, to rationalize the offer of technological solutions deriving from regional and national innovation systems, and above all to ensure a timely implementation of R&D activities, making available, with free access, 500 m2 of offices and meeting/training rooms plus 1,500 m2 of laboratories structured in five technological areas: 1. Environmental and Process Analysis and Quality of the area, 2. High/Ultra resolution scanning microscopy, 3. Optoelectronic Prototyping & HMI, 4. Mechanical Constructions, 5. Advanced Mechanical Technology. The presence in the Certema of qualified skills in different and complementary sectors, is encouraging the creation of various networks with subjects that collaborate with each other transversally. Pursuing the "district" effect, the Laboratory acts as an active interlocutor of the local system, preparing specific actions for the transfer and development of research results, proposing itself as a preferential location for the realization of R&D projects shared between the world of research and of business. The Laboratory is managed by a consortium composed of four (4) partners characterized by a strong technical expertise and a vast industrial experience in each of the technological areas present, as well as by a complementarity of the application sectors, which allows the Technological Laboratory to give its contribution in every field of implementation, providing technical support to initiatives in all its phases.
