CETD CAMEROON is Technical Design and Business Development firm, founded in 2003 in Yaoundé, Cameroon by Franklin Tchana Kontchou. CETD began by providing professional services in technical studies, project management, turn-key management of building construction works, and other civil engineering development projects. With the arrival of the founder’s brother, Joël Nana Kontchou, the firm expanded its offering to include management consulting services in strategy, business development, and organizational transformation. The firm relies on in-depth knowledge of the local Cameroon cultural, infrastructure and business environment, as well as significant global business experience, to provide services for development projects that meet international standards for technical, ethical, financial and governance matters. Franklin Tchana Kontchou, CETD Managing Director, is an Industrial Engineer, graduating from the HEI Graduate School of Engineering in Lille, France – and the Centre des Hautes Études de la Construction in Paris, France with a CHEBAP specialization in concrete and building frame construction with more than 30 years in the design and management of civil engineering projects, including managing major public investment projects, as well as providing technical services and project assistance to institutional and private investors in major development projects in Cameroon. Joël Nana Kontchou, CETD Managing Partner, is an Electromechanical Engineer from the École Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé, Cameroon – with Executive Education in Marketing Management and Financial Management from Columbia Business School in New York, NY, and the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of energy, operational management and business transformation. For 10 years, Joël was a Vice President at Schlumberger and was most recently CEO of Eneo Cameroon for 5 years
