RECOGNIZED. CREDIBLE. EXEMPLARY. ETHICAL. The CFA Society Montreal is a non-profit organization founded in 1950. Dynamic and dedicated to its members and the Montreal financial community, the Society notably promotes the CFA® designation and, whenever possible, the Montreal financial community. We strive to contribute to the vitality of the Montreal financial landscape by promoting the principles of excellence, exemplary service and ethics associated with the designation, contributing to the professional development of our members, and helping to build close ties among key finance stakeholders, both at home and abroad. SERVING THE PROFESSION Our mission, like that of the CFA Institute, is to promote the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence in the financial sector for the ultimate benefit of society. We notably raise awareness among our members about ethical issues and ensure they follow the CFA Institute Code of Ethics & Standards of Professional Conduct. In this way we uphold the highest professional standards and help maintain a positive perception of our profession among investors and the general public. SERVING OUR MEMBERS The Society supports its members in their career advancement by organizing activities and training initiatives that enable them to hone their skills and remain up to date on the latest financial and investment developments. We also promote the CFA Institute’s CFA® Program as well as career opportunities in financial analysis among students, professionals not holding the designation, and academic institutions. In addition, the Society supports CFA® candidates by offering courses and tools to help them prepare for the CFA Institute exams. CFA Montreal is more than 2,350 members strong.
