Cfbt India

CfBT Education Services is a not-for-profit education services provider, affiliated to Education Development Trust, UK. We work with government and non-government organizations as well as donors and funding agencies, towards enhancement of quality in education by providing a range of services from thought leadership in schools to parent and student orientation programs. Our first steps in India were taken in 2001 with a research project exploring public private partnerships in education entitled ‘Project for Improvement of Private Education’. This research analysed teaching as well as educational and financial standards in local schools. The research and expressed needs of teachers and managers of schools prompted CfBT Education Services to design a Whole School Improvement Programme (WSIP). The WSIP is an integrated approach to school development that focuses on capacity building of all stakeholders in the school. CfBT Education Services has offered this service to strategic partners like HSBC, Child Fund India and Women Self Help Groups on Vidya Chaitanyam and Vidya Jyothi Projects. Other areas of our work include Early Childhood Education services, English Language Improvement Programs; School Inspections and Accreditation, and CAIE PDQs (Cambridge Assessment International Education)- a service that provides opportunities to educators for continuous professional development with certification from University of Cambridge, UK.
