Whether it is bookkeeping or higher level services such as financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, or accounting software implementation and training, I get to know my clients and meet their needs by becoming part of their management team. Unlike traditional CPA firms, who see their clients once or twice a year, I work very closely with my clients. One of my clients is a personal trainer. When I started with him, his accounting records consisted of a checkbook and bank statements. I summarized his activity for the past year and brought his records up to date. He now knows that he is running a profitable business and has even been able to obtain a line of credit. I have saved him in excess of by reviewing his costs. The biggest saving was a review of his workers compensation policy to uncover that the premium was based on double the actual compensation being paid.
