In most cases, teens who are emancipated from the foster care system have often been placed in multiple homes throughout their youth. This inconsistency can often lead to a loss of personal items as well as a sense of belonging. By filling the apartments and houses of the foster youth who have aged out of the system, we are helping each teen find their place, turn their house into a home and gain a support system. Since the beginning, we have stayed committed to filling the role of an older sibling or extended family to youth who are aging out of the system because it takes a village.
