Chaminuka

Chaminuka is the largest private nature reserve in Zambia with hectares of untouched land centered on pristine miombo (moist) woodland and savannah vegetation. Miombo woodland is the most extensive vegetation zone in Zambia - covering over 50% of the country – with an estimated wood plant of 650 species. Some of the areas are densely wooded, while others are more open, but both are sufficiently dispersed and open to the sun so as to allow grass and other plants grow between the trees. The reserve boasts a wealth of more than 300 species of birds, providing bird watchers with ample viewing opportunities and more than 72 species of wildlife, including mammals, primates, reptiles and snakes.
