Chappy Productions

Chappy Productions is the metalcraft studio of Bob Chapman located in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. The artist uses primarily discarded metal that are up-cycled or recycled into amazing examples of art, functional art and craft. The metal used comes from many sources including car, truck, motorcycle parts, appliances, lawn mowers, computer parts, storage drums, barbecue grills, basically anything metal. The creative process can begin with a customer request, or an idea or inspiration derived from past events and activities and dreams. In many cases it begins with an empty welding table and a pile of scrap metal. The metal is cut, cleaned, and?formed using hand tools and welded together using various techniques including oxy-acetylene, electric arc and resistance spot.
