The overall objective of CDSP is to improve the economic situation and living condition of the population in the coastal areas of south-eastern Bangladesh with special reference to the poorest segment of the population. The Char Development and Settlement Project- Bridging (CDSP-B) is the current phase in a series of projects that have been developing newly accreted land (chars) in Bangladesh for over two decades. CDSP-B started in July 2019 and is co-financed by the Government of Bangladesh, the Government of the Netherlands, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
