Charlie Foxtrot

Charlie Foxtrot: Arma2 is a serious games tournament using the BIS title Arma2 to stage massive battles weekly. Our Concept: An open battle field, defined by the players as the battle progresses. The tournament is run by the same folks who operated the highly successful ArmA tournament IC-ArmA which, to the best of our knowledge, holds the record for the largest number of human players in an ArmA game (128 people). Drawing upon over 2 years of highly successful large scale multiplayer gaming using the ArmA engine, Charlie Foxtrot transfers this knowledge and experience to create a very similar environment for ArmA II. Charlie Foxtrot is a Proof of Concept environment for Applied Studies Group LLC. Currently, our tests have allowed us to use a commercial variant of the game to have over 200% of the manufacturer’s best estimate, that is more than 100 peer clients connected to a single server from diverse geographic regions and to be able to interact without desynchronization of the clients.
