Chem-E-Car At Uci
Team members design and construct a small vehicle that is only powered and stopped by chemical reactions. The car is meant to travel a certain distance while carrying a specific load, which are determined one hour before competition. The goal of the competition is for the car to travel and stop as close to the end point as possible. Unlike most other car projects at UCI, consistency and precision are desired rather than speed and endurance. For UCI specifically, it has been tradition to create two cars.
