Chewits

There’s nothing chewier than a Chewit! Not the Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Empire State Building, Barrow in Furness Bus Depot or even an old pair of Wellington boots! It all began in 1963 in Southport with Holland's Toffee Company (Holland's of Southport), the world's largest producer of caramels, developing and inventing Chewzits, a fruit-flavoured chewy candy. A quick name change later, and in 1965, orange, strawberry, blackcurrant and banana-flavoured Chewits hit the streets, revolutionising the confectionery market, as there was nothing quite like them at the time! It's no secret that Chewits has been one of the most popular and loved chewy sweet brands since the 1960s. Incredibly chewy and always a little bit cheeky, Chewits are the ultimate chew that delights kids and adults of all ages!
