Chile Today is the only multimedia news platform in Chile that covers Chilean and Latin-American news in English. We offer our audience a balanced overview of the breaking headlines and the latest events, the sharpest analysis’s and the sincerest reports, the most unique insights and well-researched investigations. Our team of professional reporters is dedicated to telling the story of Chile and Latin-America, as it should be told. As the fastest growing economy of Latin-America, with its capital Santiago as entrepreneurial hub, combined with a vast landscape of mountain ranges, coastline, sky blue lakes, volcanoes, desert and forests, Chile offers for both business men and investors as well as for tourists and explorers the ultimate destination. But Chile faces challenges, such as mass immigration, climate change and the staggering inequality. Independent media plays a major role in reporting on these problems and possible solutions. With a strong focus on education, where English-language schools are only accessible for those who can afford private education, Chile Today will do more than report on Chile. Our mission is to teach Chileans, from young journalism students to college kids, how to produce their own media content. Journalism students get the possibility of doing internships at Chile Today and following courses in English, to broaden their horizon as future correspondents of a country and continent that wants to tell its own story, while younger students learn in workshops about the intricacies of twenty-first century (social) media.
