Chill-Zone Logistics is transforming small holder Agriculture by creating market linkages and in the process bring shared value to all the stakeholders. Our digital platform supports real time extension support and better forecasting, address energy challenges to minimize post-harvest losses, decentralize cold chain logistics at producer level thereby laying a foundation for a scalable cold chain infrastructure and a franchise business model at producer organization level to enable local farmers access capital and improve their incomes. The outcome is access to technology, access to capital that enables financial inclusion and access fair markets that will provide fair value for their produce. Our stakeholders are : • Farmers – Majority small scale who belong to producer organizations (Cooperatives and Saccos) who CREATE the value from well managed farms supported by a highly trained team of extension service providers. • Factory that will process fruits which CAPTURES the value and locks it into high added value products. The factory will be privately owned and will guarantee offtake of fruits that meet the prescribed quality at competitive prices. • Market that REALIZES the value when consumers can buy the highest quality fruit products available because of a seamless and traceable chain from farm to market and rigorous quality control at every step.
