China Foundation Center

CFC is jointly initiated by 35 well-known foundations in China and was officially set up on July 8, 2010. Our mission is to build an independent non-governmental information disclosure platform of foundations, provide the industry-needed capacity building service, promote forming a self-discipline mechanism and improving credibility, and cultivate a positive and transparent philanthropic culture. For the past years, CFC has been adhering to its mission and has successfully become one of the most influential information disclose platforms in China. Our work includes 3 parts- Data Platform, built the first Chinese foundation & philanthropic search engine platform based on our data resources- Research Reports, interpreted and presented massive data in more visualized ways, in order to enhance awareness and understanding of foundations for all sectors; published reports annually to provide valuable development suggestions for the philanthropy sector- Advocacy Activities, designed Foundation Transparency Index (FTI), the first scientific index to measure the level of information disclosure for Chinese foundations, to enhance public trust in the sector; through domestic and foreign exchange activities, symposiums, capacity building services, etc, set up an information platform conducive to multi-party communication and cooperation for the industry. Since its establishment, CFC has built good relations with many well-known foundations, NGOs, and universities at home and abroad. Its global influence has been continuously improved. CFC has served as board of director at WINGS, an internationally renowned NGO with high reputation and popularity. CFC also participated in the drafting and formulation of the Global Philanthropy Data Charter, and worked with UNDP to write reports and release an online platform to show China' progress in sustainable development, provided a channel for the world to know China and for Chinese philanthropy to speak out on the world stage.
