ChipuRobo: Empowering Africa’s Next Generation of Innovators At ChipuRobo, our mission is to empower young Africans to become creators, problem-solvers, and innovators through practical, hands-on STEAM education. We bridge the gap between theory and real-world application by integrating technologies such as AI, robotics, 3D printing, and laser cutting into learning experiences that are accessible, sustainable, and inclusive for all students. What We Do: Inclusive AI & Robotics Program (Senior Secondary) A national initiative aligned to the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair (KSEF), where learners build autonomous rovers using sensors, AI cameras, and recycled parts. Students and teachers collaborate through weekly project-based learning and participate in competitions judged by CEMASTEA — preparing for future STEM careers while solving real problems in their school environments. 🧱 CyberBrick (Junior Secondary & Below) Piloted in 2026 at our Nairobi workshop, CyberBrick introduces younger learners to 3D printing, electronics, and Python programming through modular, playful kits. It forms the foundation for our upcoming STEM Soccer League and enables scalable Maker Space innovation for the next generation. Maker Spaces & Digital Fabrication We establish and support school-based Maker Spaces, where learners recycle PET into filament, 3D-print robot parts, and prototype sustainable solutions. These hubs turn schools into innovation zones — from design to manufacturing. Teacher Training & Resources We support teachers with CBE-aligned training, LMS-integrated content, and hands-on guidance through the AI & Robotics Program and CyberBrick activities. Our goal is to make every teacher a confident STEM coach. Creative STEM Activities From puzzles and art to coding and engineering, our workshops and CBC-aligned kits foster creativity, problem-solving, and early exposure to technology for learners of all levels.
