The Firm provides a wide range of legal services and boasts expertise in most legal areas in Bangladesh. The Firm embodies the right balance between being sufficiently large to provide a full range of services, whilst at the same time being able to offer modern, efficient and personalized services to professional, corporate and individual clients alike. The Firm was established in 1974 by Advocate Ebadur Rahman Chowdhury (Former State Minister to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Former Member of Parliament). The Firm’s expansion has taken a significant dimension by having Barrister M. Hyder Ali as senior legal counsel, who has had a long and illustrious career in the civil service including being the Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka and Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh in five Ministries. The Firm offers a team of seven members and three liaisons, including four barristers, all conversant in different areas of Bangladeshi law and demonstrating high professional esteem. The Head of the Chamber, Advocate Ebadur Rahman Chowdhury, himself leads the litigation wing and he is ably supported by Barrister Mohammad Zeeshan Hyder for representation of clients before the Hon’ble High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. In addition, Barrister Mohammad Zeeshan Hyder heads the Corporate wing of the Firm and he along with other associates undertake a large amount of advisory work for corporate clients on matters such as negotiation and review of contracts, corporate compliance, joint venture agreements, merger and acquisitions, banking regulations and corporate finance arrangements, establishing companies, securitization, employment and human resources issues and taxation. Judicial Review and Research wing is led by Barrister Md. Hyder Ali who has dedicated himself for protection of fundamental rights in Bangladesh. The Firm has offices in Dhaka and liaison offices at Narsingdi, Narayanganj, Moulvibazar and Sherpur.
