Chris Johnson Photography

I am a full time, professional, freelance photographer based in Hastings, East Sussex, UK. The way in which life is captured and viewed has changed significantly over the past several decades, Photographs are no longer taken, developed, printed and filled away in the family photo album, but are now captured, and accessible globally, within a matter of moments. My passion and enthusiasm for photography started at an early age, with my Father and Grandfather being photographers; so growing up, cameras were always accessible, and helped fuel my interest. I pride myself on being a purist, getting an image right from the camera with minimal editing. Over the past decade I have focused on the technical aspect of Photography allowing me to capture the moments that matter, and being able to provide high quality images. I adopt a photojournalistic approach to my work, and enjoy capturing people in environments where their true characters shine, for example musicians performing on stage, speakers presenting at a conference or that all important winning moment at a sporting event. I have a special interest in Sports and Event photography, as away from the camera I'm a fan of pro-cycling, Formula one, and live music.
