chris jopson consulting is an architectural practice that specialises in sports & equestrian facility design, masterplanning and temporary overlay for venues at major events. We work collaboratively with International organisations, supporting creative ideas with clear and concise technical expertise, forging strong working relationships on a diverse range of prestigious projects. chrisjopsonconsulting collaborates with signature architects such as OMA, MVRDV, 3XN & HOK, and World Class consultants such as ARUP, BuroHappold Engineering, MGP City Plan, Origin Sports Group, and MACE, amongst others. Chris is one of few architects that has had the privilege of seeing the design of an Olympic & Paralympic Games through from host city bid to competition for the same City; London 2012. His team developed the London Olympic Park masterplan from initial concept through to Games infrastructure installation & operation stages, along with the designs for all temporary venues. This experience has supported clients for mega-events such as the Dubai Expo 2020, the Paris 2024 & Lviv 2022 Olympic & Paralympic Games bids, the 2022 FiFA World Cup in Qatar, the 2019 Cricket World Cup, the England Rugby World Cup 2015 and the highly successful Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Bid. Chris has collaboratively developed the designs for a number of innovative FIFA compliant football stadia including the seat Feyenoord Stadium in the Netherlands and the seat Jakarta International Stadium; arenas such as the London O2 Arena, the SAP Garden, Munich & the SSE Arena in Belfast; in addition to the IAKS Gold award winning Torino 2006 Speed Skating Oval in Italy.
