Chris Walters (Engineering Consultant) Ltd.(“CWE”) provides high level engineering consultancy to clients across multiple industries and has done with great success since the company’s formation in 1975. CWE’s activities encompass researching and pioneering original analysis and measurement techniques and carrying out highly novel design solutions for a range of mechanical applications. Most of our experience has been working with leading works engine manufacturers in Formula 1 – and we have also improved the performance and reliability of engines in all of the major racing classes as well as in rallying and road cars. This has regularly involved organising the manufacture and continuous supply of vital CWE designed hardware, employed in championship winning F1 cars over many years, directly to F1 engine manufacturers. The expertise built up in motor racing has included torsional vibration measurement, analysis and attenuation as well as the solving of complex dynamics problems - which have become core activities of the business. This expertise is also being transferred to other industries with major projects carried out successfully in collaboration with clients based in aerospace, marine engineering, industrial manufacturing and renewable energy.
