Christine Selinger

I’m Christine Selinger (she/her, disabled person), an award-winning expert on accessibility and a consultant focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility education. I'm also an instructional designer and artisan. I provide services on contract in Calgary, Alberta or via virtual (i.e, online) methods. I hold three degrees: A Master's degree in Educational Research (Adult, Community, and Higher Education) and two Bachelor's degrees (Science & Education). I also spent 4 years competing for the Canadian National Team, winning 11 International medals and two consecutive World Championships (2010 & 2011) in canoe and kayak. I love creating things, teaching, and learning. Being an Instructional Designer has allowed me to combine these passions into a profession that I love. I am dedicated to teaching through workshop coordination, facilitation of seminars, and providing keynote addresses. I relish in the opportunity to speak openly with others about my experiences as a designer, athlete, and disabled person. I coordinate and deliver specialized Disability Inclusion training as a piece of overall Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) training within organizations. I also provide consultation on creating and executing fully accessible events, either in-person or online, and assistance with online event management in general. Look around and please contact me with any questions or comments, or if you're interested in any of my services!
