CHX Technologies (CHX) is a specialty pharmaceutical company introducing a new, high-strength, sustained-release antiseptic tooth coating which manages the cause of poor oral health - an imbalance of bacteria in the dental plaque called oral dysbiosis. This coating has first-in-class approvals in Canada and the EU for preventing dental decay in high risk adults. CHX is working on expanding this indication to include periodontal disease and Prevora's use in the management of Type 2 diabetes, systemic inflammation and cognitive decline. Prevora is used by hygienists where high risk adults are found - the physician's office, the hospital serving Special Needs and Complex Needs patients, and in geriatric care. These venues seek to improve oral health cost-effectively as part of integrated care and chronic disease management. There are some 125 million adults with poor oral health in North America and Western Europe, making it the largest unmet need in pharmaceuticals.
