China International Gallery Exposition (CIGE) takes place every April at the China World Trade Centre Exhibition Hall in Beijing, China. In 2004, the China International Gallery Exposition was launched in Beijing for the first time, on the purpose of "Internationalism, Professionalism and Futurism", exhibiting galleries and art dealers. After 6 years, CIGE is considered one of the most established international art fairs in Asia. Presenting artworks from the 5 continents and over 22 countries, including Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Israel, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Greece, Mexico … CIGE always has been a highly internationalized modern and contemporary art fair. CIGE welcomes and encourages any form of art expression, including photography, video, painting, sculptures, mixed media, installations, etc. Except Gallery Exhibition section, CIGE launches SPECIAL PROJECTS every year as well, inviting galleries, artists, not-for-profit art organizations, museums, institutions, private collections, to reflect on contemporary visual culture and forge creative new programs together.
