Cinema Defacto
Cinéma Defacto is a french, author-driven production company, based in Paris at human scale and founded by Tom Dercourt in 1996. The company’s track-record totals more than 36 features, most of them premiering in A-class festivals. For the past two decades, Cinéma Defacto has acquired a sense of expertise on every aspect of the cinematographic work : from script development to financing, shooting and film editing, sales and festival marketing. Its catalog includes flms such as The Page Turner by Denis Dercourt (Un Certain Regard 2006), Apprentice by Boo Junfeng (Un Certain Regard 2016), Dopo la Guerra by Annarita Zambrano (Un Certain Regard 2017) and Los Perros by Marcela Said (Critics Week 2017). Focusing now on international productions as lead producer but also as coproducer, the ambition of the company is to reach a wider market with crossover titles and to forge links with major independent players abroad.
