Cinerent
The photographer and cinematographer Peter Hürlimann founded Cinerent in 1978. Until 1989, the company mainly operated as a rental company for cinema equipment before it became the organiser of “Kino am See” in Zurich, known today as Allianz Cinema in Zurich an Basel. With surfaces up to 393.35 m², Cinerent has the world’s biggest, hydraulically raised, mobile screens for open-air cinemas. Cinerent single-handedly developed those in 1993.
