City Brands was created to showcase each of the world's greatest cities, using clothing as the medium. We were formed on the notion that if we can unite a city, eventually we can unite the world. Look at the “city vs. the world” concept as an organized league of extraordinary people, tied under one banner, City Brands. The concept has been followed throughout the last century of organized sports in America, where members have always taken pride in their own team, but looked to the bigger picture; the love of the game. In our case, the love of the game is the world. And we will unite it one city at a time. This lifestyle brand gives a name to the hidden innuendo people have been feeling all these years, but never knew how to describe it. The idea has been salivating off the tip of people’s tongues; finally it has an image. PHILANTHROPY - Cambodia: A country filled with the brightest smiles on the planet, but living day by day just to survive. From educational to agricultural revolutions in the country, the Cambodian Children’s Fund has truly given the country of Cambodia a new hope. Although a third world country, we see a brighter future for all mankind within CCF's mission. City Brands Clothing has teamed-up with the Cambodian Children’s Fund, and will be donating $1 from every article of clothing sold to their mission in giving the people of Cambodia a sustainable, well-deserved life. This is just one of many relationships we are building with non-profit organizations around the world. Ranging from agricultural to manufacturing issues, bamboo is significantly better for the environment versus traditional cotton. Compared to cotton, bamboo uses 1/20 of the amount of water used to create clothing. City Brands Clothing utilizes the safest, and most environmentally friendly process during our manufacturing. In layman’s terms, bamboo is a grass. It also happens to be the fastest growing grass in the world. This makes it environmentally sustainable. The best thing about bamboo is it is genetically organic. The only thing it needs to grow are the earth's beautiful rainclouds. Pesticides, herbicides, irrigation, and anything else that sounds harmful, are now a thing of the past. Some beneficial properties are its extensively tested, hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. Due to viscose from bamboo’s natural ability to wick away moisture and eliminate odors, it is not necessary to wash items as frequently as other fabrics. It is also naturally biodegradable. Yup, just like a banana peel! This means no need to add to the overfilling landfills. Take all these reasons with the fact the bamboo makes the softest feeling shirt in the world, and you have one heck of a reason to never wear anything else again. The “Cashmere of Casualwear” as we like to call it, there is no alternative. Oh and in case you’re wondering, the bamboo used for fabric is not the same species that is consumed by panda bears for food.
