CityDNA is a fast-growing technology company focused on gathering/developing urban data and applying analytical tools that create a vision to leverage aspirations for urban sustainability. The company was founded in Beijing China by a group of alumni from MIT, Columbia University, University of Washington and Tsinghua University. CityDNA develops advanced urban remote sensing, computing visualization, web-based data mining and machine learning techniques. We provide services including urban form assessment, pollution source detection, transport system diagnosis and planning scenario analysis. Taking advantage of social media, we have built an app in Wechat to engage Chinese citizens in policy-making processes of urban redevelopment and public space retrofit. Since launching, CityDNA has applied the above-mentioned tools and techniques in cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Jinan, Shijiazhuang and Qingdao. Our clients range from city governments, planning institutes to international NGOs and multilateral development banks (e.g, World Bank).
