Through the CityWebShops system we aim to provide any local retail community or suburban area with a collective system of their own. A unified and dedicated shopping and information platform fit to compete with the likes of Amazon at a fraction of the cost set against every retailer running their individual informational or e-commerce system. Base principal was the fact that many retailers lack the knowledge, the willingness and the additional time required to build/operate a website/shop which deters many of them from even starting one, even though is everybody sees the need for one. The solution CityWebShops offers, provides for 90% of all activities from the retailers related to building the site and maintaining the system, by utilizing the power of our B2B system Trademore Online. The actual initial “filling” of each individual retailer web shop section is done by placing an online order through TMO (if TMO does not yet have a B2B relationship with the respective supplier this order will be considered a dummy). This online (dummy) order is then utilized to automatically display the products within the CityWebShop under each specific retailer. The Retailer will not be required to create products, add descriptions, sizes, colours, or upload images. All those time consuming tasks will be done for them. They will be required to determine their own product range, their price ranges & conditions and also the handling of the generated orders. This limits additional work for the retailer to a bare minimum.
